CSA
local, fresh, organic, at your door
CSA PROGRAM
CSA stands for community supported agriculture. It is a way for farmers to share both the risks and joys of farming with members of the community. For an up-front fee, members become seasonal shareholders in the farm harvest. When you become a member of a CSA you commit yourself to supporting a farmer for a season. In turn, the farmer will provide you with a share of produce on a regular basis.
Our goal is to provide you with varied fresh produce from the weekly harvest. The type of produce will change weekly as the season progresses and different crops mature and are ready for harvest.
We will include sweet corn, summer squash and potatoes from local Amish farmers (no sprays). We will pack the same produce for everybody-no special requests, but please get to know other members and exchange with them. You can choose the length of your season and the weeks you do not wish to receive produce. You have an open invitation to visit the farm, take a walk in our woods and see how your food is grown. We do like a call in advance and we will reserve Sunday as our family time. We will end the season with a potluck and hoe-down at the farm.
Due to the high cost of fuel, deliveries will be limited to the Wooster, Ohio area.
